Roots
The Doodaddies formed in the early 2000s as its members crossed paths in Perth’s music scene. While each member draws inspiration from various styles, their shared love for the blues defines the band. Influenced by legends such as Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, and Little Walter, The Doodaddies deliver a true-to-roots sound with every performance. Decades of live shows have honed a setlist featuring laid-back grooves, swinging shuffles, and 'cry in your beer' blues.
Venues
The band regularly performs at local venues and has also been featured at premier events such as the Fairbridge Festival, Bridgetown Blues, and Sunset at Subiaco. With a strong local reputation, the band has garnered attention from touring legends, supporting Buddy Guy at the Perth Concert Hall and Charlie Musselwhite at the Astor Theatre. Internationally, the band has showcased their talents at the Borneo Jazz Festival, Kuching Waterfront Festival, and Genting International Jazz Festival.
On Air and Online
The Doodaddies have released three albums, all available on major streaming platforms. Their self-titled album received widespread praise in January 2015, topping the Australian Blues and Roots radio charts. Grammy-winning pedal steel player Lucky Oceans featured their music on his national radio show, The Daily Planet.
